Alternative Processes - Sianna Type

The reason I chose this process was because I thought it would be cool, and i was right. I really like the effect that it gave my picture. It didnt take long so I got a project done pretty fast for once. The reason i chose this picture for the assignment is because I was just goofing off with my camera with alexa and got a really good picture of her out of it. This is one of my favourite pieces that ive done so far.

Alternative Processes - Acrylic Gel Medium

I really ejoyed this project. The reason that i chose to do this process was because i thought it was really cool that you can just paint this white stuff onto a picture and wash all the paper off and the picture is still there, so i wanted to see it for myself. The reason that i chose the photograph that i did was because i did a double exposure for it, i combined the picture of alexa exhaling smoke with a picture of the fence at school to make it look like shes behind the fence, and i thought it looked really cool. I also did this because i thought i could use one picture for two projects. I had a really fun time with this assignment

This assignment was a little bit more difficult then the other ones because we had to use photoshop wihich is something im not very familiar with. I had alot of challenges trying to put the faces into the picture, but once i got it it was all good. As you can see in this picture the baby (Callum) is peeing on the lady (Alaia) which i thought was pretty funny and that is why i chose this picture.

The name of this painting is Venus and Cupid, by Lorenzo Lotto.It was painted in Italy in the late 1520's.

Studio Lighting

I really enjoyed doing this assignment because I got to walk around with my group and take pictures and play around with the lighting. At first we had some issues trying to figure out good lighting and how to make the picture look good but once we got a hang of it, it was really fun. Surprisingly while we were playing with different lighting positions i learned alot about where it looks good and how to change it. I really enjoyed learning these techniques and i hope we can do some more work on it later.

Painting With Light

I really enjoyed this project because it really made me think about what I wanted to paint onto the picture, and what kind of poses i wanted the "models" to do.

At first it was a little hard because I couldnt really think of different poses for them to do or what to paint into the picture, but the more photos me and my group took the more ideas we had and that part was alot easier.

One "challenge" i guess you would call it that me and my group had while working on the painting with light assignment was that we didnt know at first that the flashlight had to be pointing towards the camera for it to work properly, so we tried over and over to get it to work facing the other direction for a while.

A Photographer That Inspires Me

One of the photographers that really inspires me is Ansel Adams. There are many reasons that he inspires me. The first and most importent thing is because I love black and white photography, I think everything looks so much more amazing in black and white. Another reason he inspires me is because he takes photographs of the most breathtakingly beautiful places and when i look at his photos I just want to get on a plane and go to wherever that picture was taken.

The reason that I like this one so much is because i love forests. I would honestly prefer to be in a forest then in a mall and i think everyone should enjoy the beauty of nature. Anyways this is my favourite photograph because it is in black andwhite which is beautiful, and it is of a forest.
